213,840 meals left our warehouse in January, intended for Peace Builders Community to help the victims of Typhoon Pablo in Davao City, Philippines. Sadly, we had a problem with customs and the shipment was held in Manila without the documents required for Peace Builders to receive the food. With the clock ticking, we had 30 days to process a shipment transfer and custom’s clearance of the cargo, or it would be considered abandoned and the local government would confiscate the food. With help from Kids Against Hunger Headquarters, our food went to Dan Owens and International Care Ministries to feed the malnourished children in local communities.
